Below is an overview of the Community and International projects which are undertaken by the New Market Rotary Club.  Other projects arise and we give all serious ceration SERVICE ABOVE SELFy fall within our budget guidelines. The New Market Rotary Club Virga serves the Community and Rotary International since 1927.

Local Community Projects

• American Red Cross Blood Drive in New Market
•   Twice a year, July and January
• Adopt – A – Forest
• Assisting the Forest Service by cleaning up 3 miles along the road in Crismans Hollow in the George Washington Park  Twice a year - in the fall and in the spring
• Thanksgiving Dinners
• Providing turkeys and gift vouchers to be used in two local grocery stores to needy families whose names are provided by the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
• Stonewall Jackson High School
• We sponsor an Interact Club, After the Prom Party, and Scholarship Funds
• Shenandoah Valley Academy
• We donate funds to their various projects
• New Market Library and projects associated with the Library
• Rotary Youth Leadership Weekend in Blacksburg Yearly
• New Market Fire and Rescue

International Projects

• Shelter Box http://shelterbox.org
• It provides critical shelter and warmth for up to 10 people and is dispatched immediately and directly to the people who need it most where a disaster occurs throughout the world. The latest crisis in Syria has meant the greatest need for humanitarian relief and Shelter Box contributes to this effort.  Also in 2013 Shelter Box helped with the floods in the Philippines, Zimbabwe, and Bolivia.  Shelter Boxes are also dispatched to those in the United States who are in need of same.
• The Ride for Rotary - Stop Hunger Now http://www.stophungernow.org
• A  motorcycle poker run to raise funds to provide bagged, dried food which can feed  a family of four, to countries around the world. - this project is supported by all the Rotary Clubs in Area 2 of our District
• Polio Plus http://www.endpolionow.org
• Help to finally eradicate Polio throughout the world
• Partnerships with other Rotary Clubs for International relief.

Meetings are held in the main dining room at the  Shenvalee Golf Resort in New Market, Virginia

The New Market Rotary Club Charitable Fund is a 501(c)3 organization.  Contributions to our projects are fully deductible to the extent allowed by law.

We invite you to send contributions to our current projects.  OR you may specify the charitable fund to which you would like to contribute and we will send the full amount of your donation to your designated charity.

Our community supports us by participating in our fund-raising events.  We have good times, great fellowship, and raise money to give back to our community.
